The show must go on! Freddie Mercury lives on "Freddie For A Day" Montreux, Switzerland
Freddie Mercury, the lead singer of the band Queen. For those of you who haven't heard of him, i'm 100% sure you have heard at least one of his songs.
You know:

I always say, when in doubt, listen to some Queen!
So, what's the "Freddie for a day" event all about? In a nutshell:
∞The Mercury Trust Foundation was established by the remaining band members of Queen in memory of Freddie Mercury who died of Aids, and this foundation fights against this disease.
∞Around the world, in many countries there are different "Freddie for a Day" events happening to raise awareness for the foundation.
∞A bunch of Queen tribute bands perform Queens' songs at this event.
∞And it's just awesome!
This guy, is one of the most influential Artists! Lady Gaga said in an interview she chose her name due to his influence! It comes from the song "Radio Ga Ga" And I'm sure you've heard of her.
Take a picture with the Legend, leave some flowers or whatever decoration you wish! It's up to us people to decorate it!
The Sun will always shine on Freddie <3
In 1996 the statue of Freddie was placed at the lake of Montreux in memory of Freddie, as he fell in love with this area of Switzerland and stated:
"If you want peace of mind, come to Montreux." Freddie Mercury
One of the most beautiful sundown's at the lake!
Highly recommended to simply relax and watch the sun going down on the round peer next to the statue.
Queen recorded a lot of their songs in Montreux, Switzerland.
Since 2017, a "Queen Experience" Museum has been opened in the Casino of Montreux, in the actual studio where the band recorded many of their songs. Also, in this studio Freddie Mercury and David Bowie recorded the famous song "under pressure".

A few little tips:
∞ You can visit the statue and the area throughout the whole year for free! In the summer its a magical warm walk along the lake and in the winter, well its winter wonderland with all the snow around!
∞ Look at the area, the view and simply be inspired! Its no wonder some of the greatest songs of all time gained inspiration in this area! Once you see it you'll understand!
∞ Check out "www.mercuryphoenixtrust.com" foundation, they organize this event and made the museum happen!
